Established in 1998 as an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable corporation for the preservation, promotion, and education of railroad history in Northwest Ohio, NWORRP is unique among railroad groups in that we incorporate a diversity of interests - from model size, to quarter-scale, to full scale. We believe each aspect communicates the importance railroads were to our national and local history, and combining all of these interests together allows a better understanding of the positive impact railroads have in our everyday lives. Our projects are made possible through the hard work of our volunteers and the generosity of donors. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law and are appreciated by our members We have quarter-scale train rides, a gift shop, a museum, a Lionel layout, and an HO layout in progress. Saturdays and Sundays 1:00pm-4:00pm
Admission:  $2.00, or $1.00 for children 12 and younger
(includes a train ride ticket for all; additional rides $1.00, all ages)

Upcoming Events:

There are always good reasons to visit our museum. We are family-oriented, educational (yet fun), and very affordable (thanks to being run solely by volunteers). Plus our conductors love to fill up the coaches with smiling kids of all ages! But in June, we have three events that are not to missed.

On Sunday, June 3rd, 1-4pm, tour the inside of our B&O caboose during our CABOOSE TOUR.

On Sunday, June 17th, 1-4pm, we celebrate FATHER'S DAY. Dads, grandads, and great-grandads receive free admission and free train rides! Others pay only $2, and kids 12 & younger are only $1.

And on Saturday, June 23rd, Noon-4pm is our new event: TRAINS TOUR. Click here for a flyer with more details. Tickets are being pre-sold now at the museum's ticket counter. Save money by buying early!

WE ARE ON THE MOVE!      PLEASE CLIMB ABOARD TO HELP US RELOCATE TO OUR OWN PROPERTY.     THANK YOU!

NWORRP purchased their own property on February 6, 2012. It is nearly 40 acres of farmland that the Geren family offered to us at a reduced price. This is a big and exciting step for us and for you, our patrons. The new site is located less than a mile east of us on the south side of County Rd. 99.

Plans are to stay operational at our 11600 County Rd. 99 location through at least the end of the 2012 season.

As volunteers, we have strived to keep our prices affordable for families. Our "pay" is to see the happy faces of all ages who visit. However, we are going to need more financial help than $2/$1 admission prices can bring in.

We have a limited number of members who are trained to run steam Engine 901. Therefore, despite our best intentions to follow our schedule, we may need to substitute diesel Engine 101.
