Established in 1998 as an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable corporation for the preservation, promotion, and education of railroad history in Northwest Ohio, NWORRP is unique among railroad groups in that we incorporate a diversity of interests - from model size, to quarter-scale, to full scale. We believe each aspect communicates the importance railroads were to our national and local history, and combining all of these interests together allows a better understanding of the positive impact railroads have in our everyday lives. Our projects are made possible through the hard work of our volunteers and the generosity of donors. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law and are appreciated by our members We have quarter-scale train rides, a gift shop, a museum, a Lionel layout, and an HO layout in progress. Please call 419-423-2995 or email nworrp@sbcglobal.net if you have any questions or need directions. On March 25th, our train rides will resume for the 2012 season. We hope that you'll visit us many times this year! |

BREAKING NEWS:Update effective January 16, 2012:
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
Our present landlord has been extremely generous to us - helping us from the very beginning to get established at a great location for no profit.
But the time has come for us to seek a larger parcel that will belong to us. Despite many offers of leasing land from surrounding communities in other counties, we
wanted to remain in the Findlay area.
Recently, a local family, who has been supportive of us for many years, offered property to us at a reduced price. We are in the process of obtaining
a loan to cover the purchase price. This will be a big, but exciting, step for us. Plans are to stay operational at our County Rd. 99 location through at least
the end of the 2012 season.
As volunteers, we have strived to keep our prices affordable for families. Our "pay" is to see the happy faces
of all ages who visit. However, we are going to need more financial help than $2/$1 admission prices can bring in.
We are asking for your help. Please click here for a form to fill out and return.
More details about the land purchase will be forthcoming in about a month.
Questions? Check out our new FAQ page, or call (day or evening) one of our volunteers at 419-721-1175(Mary).
Attention: Steam Enthusiasts
We have a limited number of members who are trained to run steam Engine 901. Therefore, despite our best intentions to follow our schedule,
we may need to substitute diesel Engine 101. If you want to know whether Engine 901 is running on a particular date, please check our website
or call 419-423-2995 and leave a message.
